Affiliate marketing is an advertising strategy where the companies pay to the third party agencies for influencing their customers to buy product or service by driving traffic to the company website. There are three types of compensation model being used by MediaOne SMM. They are:

  1. Pay per sale

Here the affiliate earns a commission when a consumer buys a product or service. The company gives the affiliate a unique code or link. Then, the affiliate advertises the product or service on their social assets where they have an audience. Then they instruct the audience to visit the link which redirects them to a page where the product or service can be purchased. After the purchase, the affiliate is commissioned from the sales. But if the company gives the affiliate the code, they are compensated on the purchase made by the consumer with the code.

  1. Pay Per Click (PPC)

Here the affiliated is commissioned on the basis of the number of clicks they could generate to a particular website. A consumer doesn’t have to buy before the affiliate is compensated. This is used when the main objective of the business is to drive traffic to their website. This model doesn’t generate direct revenue for the company.

  1. Pay Per Lead (PPL) or pay per action.

Here every affiliate is compensated on the basis of every action visitor takes on a website, like signing up for a newsletter, downloading freebies, taking a survey etc. This is similar to PPC, but there is no revenue to the company. When you use any social media, then you must be an active user.
